PowerPC still powers on

And I thought this thing was fast? Fired up the iBook G4 and am currently composing on it. At 1.2 Ghz 1.25 GB RAM it isn't top of the line anymore. But it does update to OSX 10.5.8. I forget how long this will get security updates. The web experience will probably degrade first because already I need to go back to Firefox 3.6. Flash, ha! Flash sucks CPU even on current generation. Maybe an early 10 version, but Adobe is dropping it. Chrome never even had a ppc version. Maybe Camino will be updated longer.

VLC was a pleasant surprise. Having an old 0.8 something confused the updater but downloaded the latest fine.

Stepmania still works. Moved the big song archive off temporarily to upgrade OSX, as a 30 GB hard drive is kinda limiting. Moving back now to see if this fantastic rhythm game will get me moving again.

WoW, lets just say, no. I know they dropped ppc. And my primary install is 27 GB with Cata content plus logs and mods. Needed the space, so gone.

We'll see what the long range purpose of this machine is. Probably the coffee table computer as the desktop sits there and the MacBook is on the go.
